Our goal is to deliver a tailored, boutique experience to families with students attending schools that have selected Light & Grace Photography for your school photography needs.

Unlike large, corporate photography enterprises, we exclusively collaborate with a limited number of schools and daycare centers, enabling us to offer exceptional customer service and create artistic images. This allows our service to be characterized by a personal and professional touch.

The crux of our service is to genuinely capture the personality of each child in front of our camera lens. We never force smiles or resort to awkward poses or expressions. Instead, we strive to present the authentic child as they are on that specific day. The result is a collection of authentic and timeless portraits that diverge from the traditional, clichéd photos typically associated with bright flashes and unflattering, busy backgrounds. We provide a light-hearted and enjoyable experience for your children, taking pride in fostering an environment where they can relax and be their natural selves.

We operate exclusively online, offering families access to password-protected ordering galleries organized by grade, homeroom, or other school-specific groupings. Each child receives 2-5 color and black-and-white images, and families have the freedom to choose their preferred photos for printing. Prior to photo day, schools receive a detailed preparation guide and ordering instructions to share with families so everyone knows what to expect. Prints are ordered online and delivered to the school within 4 weeks of picture day. We supply all necessary equipment and personnel for a smooth photo day experience.

Schools also receive high-resolution digital files for use in yearbooks, websites, school marketing, ID cards, and other school publications.

Depending on the school’s needs, we also photograph staff portraits and class photos.

We are always happy to work with schools to create custom photography solutions tailored to their unique needs.

Our pricing is highly competitive, with no upfront costs to the schools; all revenue is generated from orders placed. We provide a range of collection options and a-la-carte products to cater to individual preferences. You can inquire to receive an update to date price list.
Additionally, we proudly contribute 5% of our gross profits to the schools we photograph as a part of our commitment to support education. We’d love to collaborate with schools to participate in funding raising events.

It depends on the number of kids in the school. Each child should take a couple of minutes only. We will circle back to kids who didn’t cooperate well the first time at the end of the session.

I have been a professional baby and family photographer and have a successful photography business for five years and have photographed hundreds of children. I am a member of the Professional Photographers Association. My business is fully licensed and insured. Plus, I am a mother of two, a 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl!

Any classroom with good lighting would work. I also bring my own studio lighting equipment to accommodate less desirable lighting conditions.

Our expertise lies in capturing beautifully posed newborn portraits in our studio. We take care of all the arrangements, including props, outfits, and setups, which will be discussed and finalized during the consultation session. All you need to bring is your precious baby! To ensure a smooth newborn session, we provide a newborn prep guide during the pre-session consultation, which outlines all the important details that you should consider before the session. And here’s a crucial tip: try to keep your newborn awake for at least two hours (or as long as possible) before the session. This helps ensure they will be more inclined to sleep during the session, resulting in gorgeous sleepy shots.

For maternity and family sessions, the most important advice I can offer is to wear something you feel both comfortable and beautiful in. My second piece of advice is for you to choose safe, solid colors – neutral colors (black, white, gray, cream, tans, and browns) are the safest choice for a family photoshoot. It’s best to avoid clothing with text, patterns, or logos. Incorporating textures can add depth to photographs, particularly for Moms. So, aim for something simple yet classic that captures your essence. I also have a HUGE kids and maternity client closet so please ask me if you’re struggling with options!

Once you decided to work with us, we’ll schedule a tour day to visit the location and discuss the process tailored to your school’s needs.
Before picture day, we’ll send the school information to share a PDF prep guide with parents to help them prepare.
Our photo sessions are efficient yet accommodating, allowing extra time for children who may need it. We can also capture class and staff photos during this time, with details discussed during our in-person meeting.
Within two weeks, we’ll provide access to the school gallery, complete with ordering instructions, deadlines, and FAQs.
We handle all the equipment and materials for picture day, offering flexibility for scheduling sessions in either the fall or spring, depending on what suits your school best.

I completely understand the desire for RAW digital images because as a parent you want to keep all of the images. However, my goal as a photographer is to deliver a final product that reflects my unique style and vision, while also ensuring that you receive images of the highest quality. By personally editing each photo, I can ensure that they meet my standards of excellence and accurately represent the moments we’ve captured together. Rest assured, I am committed to providing you with beautifully edited photos that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. If you have any specific editing requests or preferences, I’m more than happy to discuss them with you during the ordering appointment to ensure that the final images meet your expectations and exactly the way you want them to be. RAW digital files are not sold or offered in any shape or form because they are like raw ingredients to a dish that is not a representation of my work. In addition to digital images, we provide a wide range of prints and products to suit your preferences. We offer boutique product options like canvas gallery wraps and fine art prints and albums to families.

We collaborate with each school to arrange photo sessions at any point throughout the academic year including fall, spring and summer as needed.

Since this is done indoors, typically there is no need to reschedule. However, if the session is booked in advance and the school needs to reschedule for reasonable causes, we’re happy to reschedule at no additional cost.
